Creative Labs WebCam Notebook | Amazon.com | $45.95 |
There are at least three versions of this camera: two versions of a PD1170 model, and a model PD1171.
Only one of the two PD1170 models works with the qwerk. We have not tested model PD1171, so we do not
know whether it will work.
The only way we know to distinguish between the two versions of the PD1170 model are by the device's USB vendor and product IDs. The USB vendor and product IDs for the version that works with the qwerk are 0x041e:0x401f. The IDs for the version that does not work with the qwerk are 0x0572:0x0041. Unfortunately, this imformation is rarely published with the camera's technical information on merchant web sites. As a result, we do not recommend purchasing this camera for use with the Qwerk unless the merchant can verify the USB vendor and product IDs. Finally, note that there is also a "pro" version of this camera, but we have never tested it and do not know whether it is compatible. |

GWC UC320 USB 1.1 to Serial Converter Cable | NewEgg.com | $14.99 | This USB-to-Serial cable works great for when you need to connect your computer to the Qwerk using the serial cable, but your computer doesn't have a serial port. See this forum post for more details why we recommend this cable over a competing brand's. |
