Qwerk
Velcro strips with adhesive sides. You will need 3 strips, each should be cut to about 2 inches.

  1. Use the Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the tailgate from the iRobot Create.

  2. Remove the tape (to expose the adhesive) on one side of each of the Velcro strips and attach them to the cargo bay of the iRobot Create as shown in the picture above.

Be sure to press on the strips so that they stick to the cargo bay.

  3. Remove the tape (to expose the adhesive) on the sides of the Velcro facing up.

NOTE: Before you fasten the Qwerk onto the cargo bay of the iRobot Create, make sure to position it correctly. Position the Qwerk in the cargo bay so that the phone-jack inputs align with the tail end of the iRobot Create (as shown in the pictures below). The Qwerk will slightly hang outside of the cargo bay.

  4. With the phone-jack inputs aligned with the tail end of the iRobot Create, carefully set the Qwerk onto the adhesive strips.

The Qwerk is now secured to the iRobot Create.

In testing we've noticed that if the extra caster wheel is not placed, the added weight of the Qwerk tends to cause the Create to become unbalanced. Putting in the second caster is a good solution to this problem.
