- Insert an x servo horn into the longer end of one L-bracket.
- Secure the x servo horn to the L-bracket with one pointed-tip screw driven into the hole closest to the bend in the L-bracket. The screw may set at an angle.
- Repeat Steps 1-2 for a total of six L-brackets.
- Secure one L-bracket to the hexagon with two flat-tip screws.
- Repeat Step 4 to secure four more L-brackets to the hexagon.
- Make sure your hexagon resembles the hexagon in the photo above.
- Secure a hub to the longer end of the one L-bracket not pictured in Step 6 with two flat-tip screws.
- Secure the hub with a nut on each screw on the underside of the L-bracket.
- Place the L-bracket with the attached hub on top of the remaining unsecured L-bracket and secure them both to the hexagon with two flat-tip screws.
- Holding the round servo horn firmly between thumb and forefinger, remove the screw and round servo horn from the six HS-81 servos. Set screws aside for later use.
- Arrange six HS-81 servos with their wires pointed toward the center of the hexagon and attach one servo to each L-bracket.
- Secure the six servos to the L-brackets with the screws set aside in Step 10.
- Slide the 3” aluminum tube over the hub and secure it in place with a cap screw and the 3/32” hex key.
- Place the hexagon flat on a working space. Gently turn each servo to a roughly 45° angle. Gather the wires around the base of the aluminum tube and loosely fasten them to the tube with a zip tie. Allow enough slack in the wires for the servo to move through its whole range of motion without pulling the wires too tightly. Trim the extra length of the zip tie with the wire cutters.
