- Secure a hub to the shorter end of an L-bracket with two flat-tip screws and nuts positioned as shown in the photo above.
- Secure the L-bracket to the servo bracket with two flat-tip screws and two nuts positioned as shown in the photo above.
- Insert a 1/16” hex-head screw through the hole in the servo bracket that is farthest away from the L-bracket and put a washer over the screw.
- Attach the side of the C-bracket with a single hole onto the screw.
- Put the cap on the screw and tighten the screw with the 1/16” hex key and crescent wrench as shown in the photo above. Tighten the screw enough to close large gaps between the washer and brackets and to prohibit the C-bracket from wiggling. The joint should pivot easily and freely.
- Direct the HS-422 servo wires away from the hub and position the servo in the stem joint, as shown in the photo above.
- Secure the servo to the bracket with two push-rivets at the top of the servo bracket and two at the bottom.
- While holding the servo as shown in the photo above, gently turn the round servo horn counterclockwise as far as it will go, and position the C-bracket parallel to the servo. Line up the holes in the servo horn with the holes in the C-bracket, slowly turning the servo horn clockwise for precise alignment, if necessary. Secure the C-bracket to the servo horn with two pointed-tip screws.
- Secure a hub to the center of the C-bracket with two flat-tip screws and two nuts.
- Hold the HS-422 servo as shown in the photo above. Position the top half of the flower stem above the stem joint. Rotate the top half of the flower stem until the L-bracket with the hub attached to the hexagon is on the left side of the stem joint.
- Attach the top half of the flower stem to the stem joint’s hub and secure it with a 3/32” hex key and a cap screw from the hub kit.
- Compare the top half of your flower stem and stem joint to the photo shown above.
