- Remove the four screws connecting the top plate to the Qwerk and carefully lift the top plate. Put screws aside for later use.
- Do this step only if you have Qwerk 1.1. After you have removed the top plate, locate the small power limiting resistor R5 near the power switch on the Qwerk.
- Do this step only if you have Qwerk 1.1. With a #00 Phillips screwdriver, gently turn the resistor counterclockwise until you feel resistance. Be careful not to turn the resistor past the point where you feel resistance.
- Locate the two center holes in the top plate.
- Place the hub on the shorter end of an L-bracket and secure both to the two center holes in the top plate with two 2-56x3/8” screws, two lock washers that go on the two screws on the underside of the top plate, followed by 2-56 nuts. Tighten the screws with a crescent wrench and a #1 Phillips screwdriver.
- Reattach the top plate to the Qwerk and secure it with the four screws set aside in Step 1.
- Secure the 6” aluminum tube to the hub with a cap screw and the 3/32” hex key.
