- Insert four 4-40 1-1/2” screws into the under side of the top plate.
- Use washers, lockwashers, and nuts to hold the screws to the top plate. Place the washers over the screws first, then lockwashers, and finally nuts. Spin the nut by drawing your finger along its edge until it has traversed most of the bolt thread, then tighten it further by holding the nut in place with the crescent wrench while rotating the bolt with a Phillips screwdriver. The screws are retaining posts for the battery.
- Thread one zip tie through the two holes in the center-back of the plate. Attach another zip tie to the first zip tie.
- Center the battery between the retaining posts and then place furniture pads on it so that the fit is snug.
- Place the flexible camera mount on top of the battery, with the back end placed between the holes through with the zip tie is threaded. Attach the unconnected ends of the zip ties together.
- Tighten the zip ties around the back end of the camera mount, such that the camera mount cannot move.
- Snip off the zip tie ends with the cutting edge of the wire strippers.
